Death Draw

It's a card game where the thing that kills you is drawing a card.

You start with 5 cards and a shield. On your turn you can play as many cards as you want, but to end your turn you have to draw one. Draw a Death while you still have your shield and the shield breaks instead of you. Draw one without it and you're out. Last person alive wins.

There are 29 cards. You can make the next player draw extra, cancel an attack someone aimed at you, swap your whole hand with somebody, throw a card back at the person who played it, or take a card off someone who's already dead. Everyone can see what's going on except what's actually in your hand.

Three ways to play:

• On your own against bots
• Passing one device around with friends
• 2 to 8 people over a local network

There are a few table styles to pick from, or you can set your own colour. All the card rules are in the game, so you don't have to go looking for them.

This started as a real deck. Me and my friends came up with it, printed the cards and played it at a table, and I liked it enough that I wanted to make a version you could play on a screen.

I built it on my own around a 9 to 5, using AI to help with the code. If people actually play it and it turns into something, I'd want to pay real people to work on it with me.
